Fossdalir and Rangárþing ytra sign an agreement to lease the upper part of the Eystri Rangá river

Signing of a lease agreement between Rangárþing Ytra and fossdali ehf for the lease of plots on the lands of Foss and Árbær, fishing rights included in the lease.

Fossdali ehf's plan is to turn the upper part of the Eystri Rangá River above Tungufoss into a salmon nursery where natural hatching can take place.

If these plans go ahead, this part of the river could become a productive salmon fishing river in time, resulting in a sustainable Eystri Rangá, which is one of the most productive fishing rivers in the country today below Tungufoss.
