The expansion of salmon fishing rivers with an emphasis on natural spawning represents a forward-looking and sustainable approach to strengthening the North Atlantic salmon stock. A documentary film by K\u00e1ri G. Schram, which is in the works, about the development of the Lax\u00e1 River in Keldur, where new salmon habitats in Iceland are being monitored from the start. L\u00fd\u00f0ur Sk\u00falason and Gu\u00f0mundur Inga Hjartarson are interviewed about their project and the spawning and fry releases of 2022 are shown.
